custom pet & wildlife portraits

One of my favorite types of projects to work on are detailed, emotive portraits of dogs, cats, and other beloved pets. It’s an honor to be trusted to capture the character of our best animal friends and lend them some dignity that is often overlooked

DETAILS

All custom portraits are painted on solid birch wood panel with Golden acrylic paints. This method lends itself well to fine, expressive details thanks to the smooth surface.

Raw panels are sealed before painting. I apply a UV-protective varnish at the end to keep the piece in perfect condition for decades to come. 

Completed panels are wired by hand so they are able to be hung straight from the box. Paintings can be shipped anywhere and may include a custom gift note upon request.

PROCESS

Portrait rates start at $350 for an 8″x8″ inch panel and scale up from there. I accept requests throughout the year as my schedule allows. Please email hello@jennjoslin.com with your desired size and a description and photos of your pet and I’ll reply within 2 business days to get things started.
